Blockhead Beerworks is opening our second location in the heart of downtown La Porte, and we’re looking for serious Line Cooks to help build this kitchen from the ground up.
You’ll start training at our original Valparaiso location and be part of the opening squad that brings La Porte to life.
Heads-up: Ideally, you're local to La Porte and cool with the Valpo commute during training.

The Role
Line Cooks at Blockhead don’t just follow tickets, you execute with precision.
You’ll be responsible for turning prep into polished plates that hit the window fast, hot, and exactly to spec.
This is a team sport. We win together. We move together. We protect the standard together.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Execute menu items exactly to recipe and plating standards
• Maintain tight station organization (mise matters)
• Work clean, fast, and efficient under pressure
• Communicate clearly with expo and teammates
• Restock and manage pars during service
• Support teammates when they’re in the weeds
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
• Complete side work and station breakdown properly
